Welcome to the Voice Studio of Christina White!

Christina has been singing and performing since her early teens. After performing professionally for ten years, she started her voice studio in 2007. Students range in age from 10 to adult. Christina works with all abilities from beginner to professional, tailoring her lesson and coaching to the individual needs. She enjoys teaching all genres of music, but specializes in classical, musical theater, and jazz.

Christina's studio blends traditional music lessons with technology. Her approach establishes a solid foundation of breath, body alignment, and vocal technique, giving her students the tools and experience needed to be successful in their chosen style(s) of music. Voice students receive the benefit of ongoing voice analysis through programs such as VoceVista, which provides another avenue for feedback and learning during individual and group voice lessons.

Christina builds her students' repertoire, spanning a variety of genres to teach not only technique, but also musicianship, interpretation, music history, and the musical styles of different eras. Additionally, her teaching style builds music theory skills such as note reading, sight-singing, and rhythm. Middle and High School students also receive preparation services for school and community theater, Districts/All-States, and college auditions. Her goal is to set a solid foundation for a lifetime of singing. For singers working at a professional level, Christina offers coaching and lesson services for vocal "tune-ups", audition preparation, role preparation, and voice changes due to menopause and health concerns.

Christina also offers intensive classes in music theory and composition. Unlike traditional classes on these topics, she incorporates music production and synthesis using programs such as Ableton Live and Audacity. She also uses Noteflight for group learning. Each session is a little different as Christina tailors the classes to the student's interests and needs. Every session incorporates group and individual project work.

Christina is a longstanding member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and recently joined PAVA (Pan American Vocology Association). She holds a Master's Certificate from Berklee College of Music.
